Gonzalo Granados was born in Ávila on April 12th 1968.
At the age of 8 he received a fantastic present from the “three wise men”: a magic box filled with mysterious tricks that he was soon to practice on all his family, neighbours, and friends. With some puppets and his magic box, he made fantastic performances for everyone, and charged for the show. The business was emerging...
Through his uncle, and by chance, he discovers two wonderful and mythical places of the magic world: “Rey de Magia” and “L’apotecari magic” stores. The later is run by the great Victor Martí, creator of the “Abracadabra” magic-theatre group (famous for his performances in the TV show “1, 2, 3” in the 80’s). Gonzalo would then see Victor as his master and guide in the difficult beginning.
At the age of 16, he passes a test for the magazine of the Territorial Office of Televisión Española in Castilla y León. From then on, he is frequently asked to act in front of the cameras of various programmes.
His on-stage performances and theatrical circuits become more frequent each time, and he decides that Magic will be his life. He was 18 years old back then.
From 1990 to 1993 he builds up as an actor at the Theatre School of Valladolid. Here he applies all of his possible knowledge and technique to develop his magic.
In this phase, he meets “Azar Teatro” and from then on closely collaborates with them as a magician, actor, and magic advisor.
He produces and directs his own shows and his constant effort is to surprise, captivate, and communicate with the audience.
His hobbies are learning, studying magic, and singing all of Sinatra’s songs when he has the time. It’s usual for a performance to start off with I’ve got you under my skin and Fly me to the moon (the audience can relax, ear plugs are handed out to everyone).
